1 · Was it the fuse or the residual current device?
If, the moment you open the tap, the residual current device (RCD) in the consumer unit trips, there is a leak in the heating element — service is needed, do not switch the appliance on again. A fuse that trips minutes later is a different matter. Blue S / Blue Eif the fuse trips 10 seconds after you open the tap, it is an electronic board fault: switch off the power and the water and call us.
2 · Is enough water flowing?
Central appliances (Blue · Flow · Speed-E) need a flow of at least 3 litres a minute to switch on. Open the tap fully. For the first 10 seconds the display shows the flow rate (L/min) — switch the fuse off and on to see it again. If little water comes through, first clean the aerator, inlet filter and shower head clean them.
3 · Is there an error code on the display?
Blue S: E01–E06 · Flow E7/E9 and Speed-E: E1–E8 · Blue E: a fault LED lights instead of a code.
E1/E01 inlet water sensor · E2/E02 outlet water sensor · E3/E03 inlet water too hot (solar system → a mixing valve is needed) · E4/E04 inlet water too cold · E5/E05 air bubble (open and close the tap a few times) · E6/E06 outlet water too hot / power board · E7 low voltage · E8 high voltage.

Switch off the power and the water, do not run the appliance again and call us immediately. Do not attempt anything yourself in this situation.
What is 380 V (three-phase)?
It's a three-phase electrical supply; every building put up after the year 2000 has one. For the Blue series a new 4G4 NYM cable has to be run from the consumer unit to the appliance.
What is 220 V (single-phase)?
It's the standard household supply. However, for powerful units such as the Flow-E9 , a new 3G6 NYM cable has to be run from the consumer unit to the appliance. Glow, V1200 and Flow-E7 can be run off an existing socket circuit.
Which country is Veito from, and where is it made?
Veito 100% Turkish-owned is a brand whose units are produced at its own factory in Vakfıkebir, Trabzon . That means no waiting months for parts or service as you would with an imported unit — the parts are here in Turkey and the service is round the corner.
What's the advantage over a storage heater?
A storage heater keeps reheating the tank all day even when you're not using it, and that heat is constantly leaking away. A Veito instant heater has no tank: it runs only while the tap is open and stops drawing power the moment you close it.
In daily use the difference is obvious too: no waiting for hot water, no queueing for the shower while the tank refills, no bulky cylinder taking up the wall. And with no tank to scale up and lose efficiency, the unit performs on day 1,000 as it did on day one.
Does it work together with a solar system / storage heater?
Yes, it works if it is installed correctly. If the hot water coming from the solar system is passed through a thermostatic (NIKS) mixing valve and no more than 50 °C and limited to that, the appliance works alongside the solar system: if the water is already hot the appliance does not switch on, and if it is not hot enough the appliance tops it up.
With an incorrect installation if there is no mixing valve and the valves of both systems are left open, a bypass occurs — the hot water circulates without passing through the appliance, the appliance sees no flow and does not switch on. In that case the valve of the system not in use is closed. Also, if the inlet water arrives too hot the appliance shows an E3/E03 error; the solution is again a mixing valve.
How thick does the cable need to be?
Blue-S / Blue-E: 4G4 NYM · 3×32A · 380V three-phase. Flow-E9 / Speed-E: 3G6 NYM · 40A (will not run from a socket). Flow-E7 · Glow · V1200: 3G2.5 NYM · 32A (can be spurred off an existing socket circuit).

Does Veito scale up, does it need periodic servicing?
Veito heats water without storing it. The Blue and Flow series have wire heating elements — hard water barely affects them and they need no periodic limescale servicing. The older-generation shower-type models V1200 · V1100 · Glow use conventional heating elements and these are are affected by hard water.
If little water comes through, the cause is usually not the appliance but an accessory: the aerator, inlet filter or shower head is blocked — cleaning it is enough.
